Get discovered the day they finally understand their bill

For mobile, broadband and TV providers and for electricity and gas suppliers selling something almost nobody wants to think about. Coporo, an organic distribution agency, builds and runs a network of brand-owned accounts on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts that explains bills, tariffs and saving at home in plain English, each for a different type of customer, with your brand appearing as the sensible choice.

The context

Nobody follows their energy supplier for fun. But plenty of people save a video explaining why their bill jumped in January, when to run the washing machine or whether it's worth dropping the landline. It's a low-interest, high-distrust market, and genuinely useful information gets passed on: to the family group chat, to a flatmate, to a parent who keeps getting cold calls. When the time comes to switch, people remember who explained it properly.

Brands in the sector speak through tariff ads and an official profile that mostly collects complaints rather than conversation. On top of that, the pensioner trying to cut the electricity bill, the gamer who needs stable broadband, the freelancer working from home and the twenty-something setting up their first contract have completely different questions. Each profile needs its own account, with a friendly voice and practical explanations that don't read like a sales pitch.

The challenge
01

A product customers would rather not think about

Mobile, broadband, electricity and gas get set up once and forgotten. If you're not front of mind when something breaks or the bill rises, customers just compare prices on a comparison site.

02

Deep distrust of sales talk

Cold calls, small print and lock-in contracts mean any message with a logo is read with suspicion. What works is a useful explanation, not an offer.

03

Customers leave without warning

Switching is quick and easy. If your brand only shows up at renewal, a rival has already got there first with a better-looking deal.

Each account speaks to one specific audience with its own hook. These are some we would work with.

How we work it

How we work it

01

Real bills taken apart step by step

Carousels explaining every line of an electricity, gas or mobile bill. It's the kind of post people keep for later, and it positions your brand as the one that speaks plainly.

02

Service content for the year's peaks

Cold snaps, price changes, the clocks going back, back to school: the accounts answer the questions of the moment with useful explanations, not promotions.

03

At-home broadband and Wi-Fi tests

Creators measure speed and latency in different rooms and explain how to improve them. Your network appears in the test, with figures viewers can check for themselves.

04

A lab for switching angles

We test which reason most often prompts people to review their contract (saving money, customer service, no lock-in, green energy), and Coporo Live shows which accounts send the most visits to sign-up.

FAQ

FAQ

How are prices, offers and comparisons with other providers handled?

No prices or terms are published without your sign-off, and when they appear they're flagged as subject to change, with a link to your site for full terms. The accounts don't compare you against named competitors; they explain concepts and let your brand appear as an example of doing it well.

Our sector is heavily regulated. Who checks what's said?

Before we start, we agree a guide of permitted and banned messages with your legal team (green energy, speeds, contract terms, savings) and every account works from it. Pieces that mention your product can go through your approval first.

Will the accounts attract customer complaints?

Far fewer than an official profile, because they aren't customer service channels. If a customer issue does come in, it's passed to your support team and logged in Coporo Live so you can see it.

Does this help retention or only acquisition?

Both. Some accounts focus on getting more out of the service people already have, which reassures existing customers; others work on people who are thinking about switching.

Do the accounts belong to the provider?

Yes. They belong to your brand, each with its own phone, identity and theme. Coporo creates and manages them, and you can see every account and post on the live dashboard.

How long until it's posting, and how many accounts do we need?

A standard network has around 20 accounts and starts posting in about 20 days. Larger operators and suppliers, with several products and regions, usually run networks of 50 to 100 accounts or more.
